今年のGEC/GOCはタイランドのPantip Plazaで行われました。

GEC/GOC was held at Patip Plaza in Thailand.

バンコクの秋葉原と言われてる総合ショッピングモールの1Fフロアで開催されました。

当日はタイランド中から多くのゲーマーが集まり、前日の夜21時から徹夜で並んでいる人達も。

It is a general shopping mall which is said that Akihabara in Bangkok.

It was held on the first floor.

Many gamers in Thailand gathered on the day.

Some people stayed awake all night from 9 p.m. the previous day.

タイランドの予選を勝ち抜いたBEYOND ESPORTとMiTHが決勝を行い、見事MiTHが優勝しました。

Team MiTH and team BEYOND who won the qualifying in Thailand fought in the final and MiTH won the championship.

今回使われたグラフィックカードはGALAKUROのGTX1070Ti

そして午後は、ここタイでも超～大人気PUBGタイム。
たぶん？ほとんどの人達がPUBG目当てだったのでは？と思わせるほど盛り上がってましたね。

In the afternoon, the hugely popular in the world PUBG time.
The winning MiTH played on the stage, everyone was so excited at the show.

そんな中、勝ったMiTHがステージ上でチーム戦をやってました。

会場中に設置されたマシンで来場者もプレイ。

Visitors also played with many PC set up at the venue.

抽選会や催しモノも盛りだくさんで終始お祭り騒ぎ。

There were many events and raffle, the audience were in festival mode all the time.

ステージ上のMiTHのプレイをしばらく見ていましたが、さすがネタ要員もいればガチ勢もいて、プロゲーマーの懐の深さを知ることが出来ました。
この辺は勉強になりますね。

I was watching their stage for a while, gamers and MC were professional that excites the show, that’s great!
And I felt the sound is also wonderful.
It was a great learning.

日本でもeスポーツは盛り上がりを見せはじめてます。

いつの日か、彼らの様な海外のチームと国内チームとの対戦も日本で見てみたいもんです。

eSports has come into full swing also in Japan.
Someday, I would like to see a battle with overseas team like them and Japanese team.

今年は日本からも2人出場しています。
これは大会史上初でした。

Two Japanese advanced to the final this year.
This is the first time in the history of the tournament.

今年2017年はintelさんが頑張っちゃったせいで（笑）Z270、x299、Z370と3つもプラットフォームが混在するという非常事態。
本番のレギュレーションもギリギリまでどのプラットフォームを使うか決まらず難航していました。

そのせいなのか？今年の決勝はCPUよりもグラフィックカードに重点を置いたベンチマークで競い合うカタチとなりました。

Since Intel worked well in 2017, Z270, x299 and Z370, three platforms were mixed.
At the briefing session, it was hard to decide which platform to use.
Maybe because of that, they mainly competed with the graphics card benchmark rather than the CPU this year.

In about 7 hours, the order of benchmarks to play is not decided.
They competed for the overall score of these 4 benchmarks.

上位２人を除いて最後まで勝負の行方はもつれましたが…
